Improvement and safety of pedestrian road system in urban areas, redevelopment of the space for roads, bicycle and pedestrian of Piazza Dante Alighieri.
The centre of Canda is placed near the left embankment of Canalbianco river, along which there are the town square and the most important historical monuments. The complex unity of the square, whose dimensions are considerable (280 m deep and 25 m wide) is searched through the choice of a uniform material used for the paving of both pedestrian and vehicles circulation area. Inside this area, the required specialized surfaces are defined by a draw on the ground, composed by elements in decorative cement or stone, which divide the areas for vehicles from the pedestrian one and point out the stop area. In the south side towards Canalbianco, a long row of lime trees is kept adding new trees and it is imagined as a green background formed by basins for vegetal apparatus put close by the embankment, previously covered with a stone surface. This green background relates physically and visually to the already existing green area planted with trees, determining a new physical and visual continuity between the different ambits of the urban space, which are equipped for fair and public events. A long theory of new linear benches, covered with stone, delimits towards the row of trees the square pavement, and becomes the support for the led lighting apparatus put in proper openings, settled between the stone covering and the benches’ concrete structure. pavement, and becomes the support for the led lighting apparatus put in proper openings, settled between the pavement, and becomes the support for the led lighting apparatus put in proper openings, settled between the |
